B and one of his buddies from work are going to drive 5+ hours one way to go pick up our MDX tomorrow. Well, first they will look it over and make sure it's worth buying of course. But I'm expecting it will be in excellent shape. It's never been wrecked and is certified by the dealership. And evidently the previous owners were very meticulous about it and did every single service to it.
I'm just soooooooooo thankful I don't have to go. I mean, I would have if his buddy had not volunteered to go with him. But he did, so I'm off the hook. 10+ hours in the car in one day just did not appeal to me very much. There would have been a lot of stops to pee. Plus, I'm just feeling plain ole sore and uncomfortable these days when I sit for too long. And I trust B's judgement without me there. Heck, he's the expert on those cars, not me. I got his buddy a gift card to a restaurant as a thank you present too, because I really am grateful.
So assuming all goes well, they'll get back Saturday evening around dinner time hopefully. Then B and I are going to head to my parent's lake house Sunday morning for the remainder of the long weekend. B wants to do some wakeboarding and jetskiing one last time before fall creeps up on us. And I plan to just relax, read a book, and do some fishing off the dock. Should be fun. And all the dogs are going to come with us too, since we'll have a handy dandy SUV now!
I'll have to post some pics of it once he gets back with it. I'm hoping to finish some of the art projects I've been working on for Nate's room on Saturday too, so I'll post those once I'm done with them. I'm really happy with how they've been turning out so far.
