So it looks like my first OB appointment is going to be sooner rather than later. It's scheduled for this Tuesday, June 9, at 10:30. It was either that, or wait 3 weeks. And it sounds like I'll get another u/s.
The lady on the phone originally told me that I would only get 1 u/s, and that would be at 20 weeks. She said it was possible I would have more than that though, if the OB deemed them medically necessary. I asked her if it mattered that I have a vanishing twin, would I need to be monitored more closely because of it? She checked with the OB and I guess the OB decided that based on that news, I would have an u/s at my first appointment. Which is fine with me because when she said my only u/s would be at 20 weeks, I kind of panicked.
Although I have to remind myself that I will be getting to a point here pretty soon where I can just rent my own doppler machine and check on the hb myself from home. Once I can do that, I think I'll relax more.

hey, don't buy a doppler, you can have mine. and you should never rent one--it's cheaper to buy one. you have to promise me you won't use until you are at least 12 weeks!
