I asked her why the reduction, since I had such a bad experience last month with our IUI and the reduction in meds. She said these small reductions will hopefully keep me from stimming too fast, which they don't want. She reminded me that last month, they dropped my meds down pretty quickly. This time, they are dropping it in small increments instead for more control.
Since I have 5 at 9mm right now, they don't want those 5 to get too big too fast without giving the others a chance to catch up. So it's not about reducing the amount of follies I have in there now (which is what I was worried about), it's about slowing the lead ones down to let the others catch up. That made me feel a lot better.
I go back in Wednesday morning for another check. I am praying for good results!
Hi, Ashley. We're on the exact same schedule. I started MDL on Tuesday 4/7 and Gonal F (Like Follistim) on 4/9. I had my first ultrasound and bloodwork since starting stims yesterday and will have next one tomorrow. Good luck to both of us.

Victoria, good luck to you too! Do you have a blog I can read to follow your progress?
ReplyDeleteHi, Ashley.
ReplyDeleteI just read and lurk.. But yours struck me as wild since we're doing pretty much the same thing at the same time. On Monday my ultrasound showed pretty small follicles around 8.5mm or so. I think there nine in total. I am hoping that there are more and they're a lot bigger tomorrow. I am obsessing over my estrogen level was well. Sigh. I just want this to work so badly.
Good luck!!
Victoria
Victoria, I totally understand where you're coming from. Keep me posted on how things progress for you. It's nice having a cycle buddy going through the same things!
