27 weeks and 4D pics.

We had our 4D u/s this morning and it was a lot of fun! I'm really glad we ended up spending the money to do it. It started off with Nate being rather shy. Plus, his face was in an awkward spot, way over on my left side. So at first all we really got to see was his hands and feet. After a bit of belly jiggling though, the tech managed to get him turned to a good angle, so we finally got some good pics of his face. Here are my favorites:

I also found out that I failed my 1 hour glucose test. Go me! Doc seems to think it was because I ate Bojangles for dinner the night before. Regardless, now I have to take the 3 hour test. So not looking forward to that. From the sounds of it, it's basically the same thing and same drink, only drug out over 4 hours instead of just 1.

My plan is to just go and get it over with this Saturday. I'm not allowed to eat anything after midnight and then will go in early at 7am, have my baseline sugar level drawn, chug the lovely drink down, and then sit around for 3 hours while they test my levels every hour. All the while, I can't eat anything. I'm going to be STARVING. And a raging beast, I'm sure. I'm hoping that once I eat something afterwards though, I will feel fine. Because I have my BFF's wedding to go to that evening.

As for Nate, he seems to be doing just fine in there. They didn't give me an estimated weight today, but my doc said I'm measuring about 2 weeks ahead right now. He's gonna be a big one, I'm sure! My appointments will be every 2 weeks from this point forward now too.

Oh, and I forgot to take my belly pic on Monday, but did manage to remember last night. So here's the latest:

  1. acutally the drink for the 3 hour has double the glucose, so it is much grosser : ( Hate to be a bummer.

Good luck with your 3 hour, I had to take mine last week...and yes I was STARVING! The first hour and a half into the test I felt really sick, then I started feeling better. I brought my lap top and lots of stuff to do to keep me company.
