So the new RE suggested we try 1 or 2 more IUIs between now and April, and if those don't work, he'll put us on the schedule for IVF in April. His office only does IVF 4 times a year and they cycle all of their patients together, which is why I would have to wait until April for that. There is currently a group cycling now and the next batch isn't scheduled until April.
In my nervousness, I forgot to ask about how group cycles work. So I have no idea if they alter protocols for each individual. Or if they trigger/transfer/retrieve everyone on the same day. All very important things to know before I make any decisions.
So not real sure how I feel about doing IUIs again, but I guess it's better than nothing. He said I could do 10 days of BCPs beforehand if I want extra suppression. And that he would do a higher dose of Follistim (300iu?) plus Ganirelix. He said it will be a good indicator of how I will respond to IVF, since I had such a bad response and poor monitoring for my previous IUIs.
Now that I've had some time to let it all sink in and have talked it over with B, I think we will end up doing an IUI or two. We have some scheduling conflicts in Jan and early Feb though, so we probably won't be able to get started until mid-Feb. Gives me some time to mull everything over though, so that's good.
